Yes. If you consistently do the same cardio workout each time you enter the gym, then your body will grow accustomed to this repeated level of stress and not improve beyond that level. Try using a different piece of cardio equipment in order to tax your body differently. Set a goal to increase the duration of time by one minute, each time you do cardio. Increase the intensity of your cardio sessions by working at a higher heart rate level. Any change, really, will help you improve as long as it stresses your body in a new way and beyond what it has grown accustomed to.
I don't want to lift heavier weights because I don't want to get "muscle-bound." Should I only stick to cardio and really light weights?
I keep hearing a lot about "low carb" diets, and that carbs equate to fat. Is this true, and should I avoid all carbohydrates?
