Schiff uses Glucosamine Hydrochloride (HCl), which has the highest potency of active Glucosamine among Glucosamine forms. Glucosamine Hydrochloride is about 83% Glucosamine, while most brands use Glucosamine Sulfate that is only about 65% Glucosamine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works I started using this product several years ago because of knee pain. It took a couple of weeks for it to make a difference, but it really has helped. I was reminded of how much it helped when I had to discontinue it for a week in preparation for a surgical procedure. After a few days without it, my knees started aching again. So glad to be back on it! I also advised my Mom to take it and she also feels that it helps her.

I have a bottle of my Mom's old Glucosamine 1000 made by your company with the expiration date of 1105.  Does that mean it expired in 2005 or 2011?  It has never been opened.  Is it still good to take?

Asked by: Pegi
Hi, the product you have expired in November of 2005. We do not recommend taking any supplement product past the expiration date.
