Meet the Experts
Lauren R. Bink, PhD, RDN
Dr. Brink is the global medical affairs manager for Neuriva, at Reckitt. She originally began her career in 2019 within the infant formula division (Mead Johnson Nutrition) of Reckitt and has been serving in this role since 2022.
Prior to joining Reckitt, Lauren Brink received her PhD in Nutritional Biology and her BSc in Clinical Nutrition from the University of California, Davis. Her dissertation focused on the role of Milk Fat Globule Membrane on infant neurodevelopment. Following her PhD, Lauren worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Research Centre, where the focus of her work was on the developing infant microbiome and immunology. She has recently completed her dietetic internship at the University of Central Arkansas and became an accredited registered dietician nutritionist in July 2021.
She is active in multiple professional leadership societies and has served on the social media committee for the International Society for Research in Human Milk and Lactation for the past three years. With over 10 peer reviewed publications and her training in both clinical and preclinical nutrition, Lauren has a thorough understanding of nutrition which enables her to leverage scientific understanding and business opportunities from early conception/hypothesis to implementation.
When not busy with her job, Lauren enjoys caring for her two young children, as well as music, gardening, baking, and enjoying the mountains of Western North Carolina.
Melissa Halas, MA, RDN, CDE
Melissa is a nationally recognized registered dietitian and plant-based nutrition expert with 20+ years of experience helping adults, kids and communities live healthier lives! Through her adult and pediatric private practice, Melissa provides nutrition counseling to help clients reach their best health potential. She believes balanced nutrition contributes to positive spiritual, physical, and mental health. Melissa has created and taught courses on functional foods focusing on phytonutrients, disease prevention and plant-based nutrition for over 18 years. She is a trusted nutrition expert—making appearances in the media as a keynote speaker and serves as an advisor for corporations and nonprofits. She has also authored several books and regularly publishes her work on various health-promoting platforms.
Melissa addresses common nutrition concerns for adults, from safely managing caffeine intake to incorporating food and lifestyle habits for better brain health at melissashealthyliving.com. When she isn’t helping others reach their nutrition and health goals, Melissa keeps her mind sharp by challenging herself physically through varied hiking terrain, resistance training and meditative yoga. Melissa embraces the medicinal powers of food—allowing each nutrient to power her passions from head to toe. Whether staying active, enjoying a balanced meal or getting a good night’s sleep, Melissa truly practices what she preaches.
Melissa has a talent for making good nutrition come to life in a fun, tasty and engaging way. She founded the first pediatric nutrition mega-site, SuperKids Nutrition, which provides parents with expert resources to overcome mealtime problems, nutrition concerns and more. In addition, she is the creator of the Super Crew®—a group of friends who get their powers from eating colorful, healthy, plant-based foods. This parent-adored and child-approved squad helps motivate young kids to develop healthy eating habits early. Suzanne Soliman, PharmD, BCMAS
Dr. Suzanne Soliman earned her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She then completed a residency in primary care with an emphasis on education at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and a teaching fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Soliman worked as a clinical pharmacist, a medical science liaison and a national field team educator prior to becoming an Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. She most recently was an Associate Dean at Touro College of Pharmacy New York and an independent pharmacy owner, and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA). Dr. Soliman has over 100 publications and presents nationally on pharmacy, parenting and women's issues. In 2017, inspired by her desire for better work/life balance, Dr. Soliman founded the Pharmacist Moms Group—a network of over 45,000 pharmacists and the largest network of pharmacists in the country. The mission of the group is to provide important resources, a supportive network, and most importantly a community of fellow pharmacist moms who understand the challenges and rewards of balancing work and family life.
